We are looking to recruit a motivated individual who will work as part of a team of flexible electrical and mechanical technicians and report to the Engineering Manager.
Shifts – Monday – Friday (6am-2pm, 7am-3pm, 2pm-10pm)
Participate as a member of the multi-skilled Engineering team, working with other departments to improve performance and achieve objectives.
Reacting effectively to minimise machine downtime, while executing planned preventative maintenance activities to increase machine availability and performance.
The ideal candidate will have: -
Formal mechanical training. (Time served or a mechanical qualification)
Experience with maintaining production equipment ideally within a heavy industrial environment, preferably metals or chemicals
Previous experience in a similar role
Previous experience with mobile plant, Gas Burners, Rolling Mills, Hydraulic Systems, Overhead Cranes and other equipment associated with heavy engineering
Welding – MIG/MMA
Basic electrical skills
