To motivate, mentor and encourage the Warehouse staff and have responsibility for the overall development and maintenance of the department’s functionality.
The role will be responsible for the day to day operations of the warehouse, material handling, storage and on time delivery performance.
Provide the business with a continuous smooth process from goods receipt to final despatched providing the service levels required for our target markets, whilst still maintaining our high standards of both quality and health and safety responsibilities.
The Warehouse Manager will report directly to the Head of Operations and will be responsible for managing the Warehouse Assistants, as well as the Shift Supervisors.
The role will involve liaising with other Managers and departments within the business and across the Group to promote best practices throughout the department, instilling both a health and safety and improvement culture into every employee.
The ideal candidate will have:
Previous leadership experience, ideally from within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Proven success in leading and motivating a team.
Exposure to lean principles
Proficient in Microsoft Office products.
A team player with the ability to actively participate within the team and lead by example, acting in a professional manner at all times to encourage respect from employees at all levels.
A strong communicator and a good listener who will encourage improvement ideas at all levels of the team.
A flexible approach and willingness to work additional hours in order to meet the needs of the business
