Job Elements
We are looking to recruit motivated individuals who will work as part of a team to carry out the preparation and analysis of routine production samples in a laboratory-based environment.
Working Monday-Friday on Mornings/Afternoons shift pattern (6am-2pm, 2pm-10pm)
Earnings during training period (approx. 12 weeks) will be £25,500 rising to circa £27,000 once training completed.
Management of the analysis and testing equipment (maintenance, repairs and calibration).
Testing/analysis and reporting on raw materials, intermediates and products from site.
Ensure interface with other departments and activities.
Provide cover where needed and appropriate for the shift pattern.
Ensure that analysis is carried out and results reported in correct manner.
Ensure cleanliness/ hygiene level of the lab is maintained at all times.
Responsible for control of waste chemicals from the lab
The ideal candidate will have: -
Degree in Chemistry, or a related scientific discipline (or equivalent)
Previous experience within an industrial laboratory
Proven experience in a similar role
Good communication skills both written and oral
Strong work ethic
Flexibility with shifts
