Job Elements
To ensure the effective and timely procurement of components and raw materials in order to provide ‘On Time In Full’ delivery of finished goods to customers.
Develop a good understanding of component and raw material codes and ‘Bills of Materials’
Communicating short and medium term requirements to suppliers;
Ensuring on time materials availability to enable 100% plan realisation;
Management and detailed analysis of obsolete and slow moving stocks;
Liaising internally with the Logistics, Operations and Quality departments;
Liaising with U.K. based and international suppliers, customers and transporters;
What the company is looking for in the successful candidate:
G.C.S.E. Mathematics and English, grades A*-C (or equivalent);
Understanding of supply chain and associated lead times;
Experience of liaising in-house and externally with people at all levels.
Experience of working with MRP.
Experience of working in a pharmaceutical / FMCG/ automotive manufacturing environment;
High proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office software, in particular MS Excel;
Ability to work as part of a team or on own initiative;
Conscientious, self-motivated & proactive;
Good written and verbal communication skills;
