Maintenance Technician (Mechanical)

Contract Type – 12 months fixed term

Salary: Dependent on Skills and Experience

Job Elements: -

·12 month contract working 4 on/ 4 off for all the above 2 days 2 nights 12 hours no Saturday night shift.

·Carry out day-to-day maintenance activities on all manufacturing and packaging equipment, as directed by the Maintenance Team Leader

·Maintenance, repair and setting up of manufacturing and High speed packaging equipment including proactive resolution of frequent issues.

·Manufacturing of machine components using workshop equipment such as lathe, milling machine and TIG welder.

·Completion of daily maintenance logs, shift OEE logs and documents

·Ensuring compliance with company safety and quality policies and 5S standards.

·Participating in root cause analysis and problem solving activities as required.

The ideal candidate will have:

·Previous experience working in an automated production environment with a good understanding of equipment and / or maintenance functions

·Previous experience working a highly regulated environment desirable

·HNC or equivalent in a mechanical discipline

·Experience of PLC and servo-driven production / manufacturing machinery (Omron, Siemens S7, Allen Bradley)

·Experience in workshop activities such as turning, milling and TIG welding

·Proven problem solving abilities, along with a basic understanding of 6 Sigma techniques

·Good level of computer literacy in Microsoft Office packages

·Strong team-worker, with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently as needed.
