Job Elements: -
To specify and realise the manufacturing processes using the most appropriate technology and ensuring process capability with respect to the total manufacturing system.
Conduct capacity analysis for capital equipment needs
Be responsible for successful sampling and launch of equipment
Manage external suppliers of tooling and machines
Continuous improvement of existing product lines and manufacturing processes/ methods according to internal standards
Generate and own base line process flows and PFMEA's
Support manufacturing in defining overall production and equipment standards
Support development of cost improved solutions (Value Analysis, Value Engineering)
To take part in team meetings, design review meetings and policy meetings regularly.
Manage and support the use of problem-solving activities using appropriate tools
Design and standardise poke-yoke systems into the manufacturing process.
Provide cost effective engineering solutions
What the company are seeking in the successful candidate: -
Experience within a similar role within a fast moving manufacturing environment
Experience of Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement activities
HNC/D level education in a technical subject as minimum (ideally degree educated)
IT literate
