Product Engineer

Contract Type: Permanent

Salary: £35 – 40k

Job Elements: -

·Development and on time delivery of systems and components.

·Creation and development of 3D CAD data and engineering drawings.

·Leading of design for manufacture activities in co-ordination with manufacturing team.

·Perform tolerance analysis, DFMEA’s, vehicle package clearance analysis.

·Customer communication for new product developments.

·Co-ordinating and being present for customer visits; both locally and internationally.

·Lead prototype activities; including external supplier co-ordination and in-house 3D printing.

·Completion and / or co-ordination of development testing to ensure systems meet customer requirements.

·Application of internal and customer OEM standards in design and CAD data quality.

·Leadership skills: leading design reviews, coordinating colleagues from other departments.

·Support simulation studies.

·Support Design cost calculations.

What the company are seeking in the successful candidate: -

·Degree in Engineering or a comparable education.

·Experience in CATIA V5 3D CAD system is required; minimum 2 years.

·Product design minimum 2 years’ experience; plastic injection mould product experience is necessary.

·Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with teams locally & direct interface to customers.

·Strong use of Microsoft programs; Excel and PowerPoint especially.

·Strong problem solving skills required.

·Valid Driving License.
