Salary: - up to £20 per hour PAYE
Job Elements: -
Prepares quotation requests containing engineering specifications, part/tooling parameters, quality specifications, delivery deadlines and pricing targets for potential sourcing and re sourcing
Negotiates price, makes sourcing decisions optimizing long term price quality and delivery performance.
Understand procurement system and its relationship to the various interfacing departments. Maintain all purchasing data base to ensure dependant departments have prompt and accurate information. Creates, updates and edits purchase orders.
Identify cost reduction potentials
Participate to achieving target of the plant in terms of cost reduction, supplier quality and supplier delivery performance.
Supports engineering change activity
Supports plant operation activities as required, such as quality and logistics
Participate to improvement groups relating to the supplier continuous improvement
What the company are seeking in the successful candidate: -
University degree in Purchasing/Materials or comparable commercial education
1-3 years commercial working experience
Minimum of 1 year of project management experience incl. budget
Business Experience in the Manufacturing Industry is required
Experienced user of MRP systems
IT Literate
