Job Elements
Working 2 shift (mornings and afternoons Monday – Friday)
This role will be responsible the smooth running of the yard loading/unloading the process ensuring all products are loaded/unloaded to the required specifications on target and to required deadlines.
Clearly communicate all relevant information / issues to the team leader
Ensuring you comply with and adhere to all Health & safety policies including the correct use and wearing of personal protective equipment (PPE)
Ensure finished material are safely loaded onto vehicles for onward shipment to customers.
Unloading, Sort and prepare materials for onward processing.
Maintaining the yard and carrying out all activities required in this area.
Use of mobile plant including FLT’s, Telehandler, Excavator, OHC etc.
Ensuring SOPs are adhered to for plant machinery.
The ability to work in all-weather.
The ideal candidate will have:
Proven experience with mobile plant, FLTs etc
Previous experience working with a heavy industrial environment, preferably metals or chemical industries.
You would need to have a willingness to learn, the ability to work within a team, a flexible approach to work and working hours.
Strong work ethic
Ability to adapt quickly to a dynamic and demanding work environment
Excellent communication skills
Flexibility with shift / overtime
