Contract Type: Agency Temp (12-15 months)

Salary: £28K to 36K depending on relevant experience.

Job Elements

·The role is Scientist in the Technical Support Team. A team of 10, this team supports routine manufacturing and also undertakes Root Cause investigation and CAPA activities for our clients product whilst also supporting the introduction of New Products and Cost Improvement programs.

·The successful candidate will be responsible for the identifying, leading and executing continuous improvement projects / CAPA with a range of complexities both technical & scientific to drive innovation, enhance product performance, resolve product / process problems, support new product introduction, provide cost improvements and optimize production.

The ideal candidate will have:

·Minimum of a Degree and preferably a Masters/PhD in a science subject such as Chemistry / Biochemistry or equivalent, or relevant experience.

·Relevant experience in a related industry or function.

·Proven ability to participate in and effectively lead cross-functional project teams.

·Proven track record of contributing to and driving through process improvements using six sigma tools within a highly regulated environment.

·A detailed understanding of the principles of immunoassay and the factors affecting performance is essential.

·Familiarity with Process Excellence tools

·Good working knowledge of Microsoft office tools for communication and reporting.

·Working knowledge of DOE application.

·Structured problem solving methodologies.
