Senior MES Analyst / Software Analyst

Salary: circa £45K + Benefits

Contract Type: Permanent

Job Elements:

·Working as part of a small team of developers, analysts, and systems engineers.

·The team are part of the site engineering team and the MES primary function is to develop and support applications and systems used by the manufacturing team.

·The person will be accountable to the Manufacturing Execution Systems Team Leader for the definition, build and implementation of strategic projects to support UK Operations, and support such systems once implemented.

·Lead the specification and design of new MES systems.

·Working with the business and other stakeholders to provide expert analysis and advice on system renewals and upgrades

·Provision of user requirements and functional specifications.

·Provide systems Subject Matter Expertise to the local and wider business.

·Support the generation of business cases for major strategic projects.

·Identify and document and execute system test strategies for systems validation.

·Create systems support documentation and provide training to peers and junior staff.

·Provide second line operational support for delivered business systems.

·Deployment of best practice solutions and adherence to corporate standards and methodologies.

·Maintain knowledge of industry trends, latest technology, techniques and best practice.

The ideal candidate will have:

·Systems Analysis and project management experience.

·Process and data modelling experience must be demonstrated.

·Preferably experience of working in high compliance industry

·Languages: VB.NET, VB 6.0 C#, Python

·Reporting: SQL Server Reporting Services, Crystal Reports

·Source Control: MS TFS

·Client side: HTML, XML, Microsoft Office including Visual Basic for Applications (VBA), CSS, Jquery

·Database: MS SQL, Oracle

·Project Design: Agile/Scrum Methodologies
