Catia Design Engineer

Contract Type: 3-6 month Contract

Salary: Highly dependent on Experience

Job Elements: -

·Design product assemblies and components required to meet customer performance requirements.

·Create 3-D CAD models and 2-D drawings conforming to standards and specifications;

·Package and fitting analysis: data check for defined specifications (clearance, etc.); tolerance stack up.

·Carry out design reviews and create DFMEA's.

·Application of VA/VE

·Create part numbers and BOMs

·Data transfer (send/receive) with customers and suppliers.

·On-time delivery of design tasks and results.

·Participate in Program Meetings

·Development and maintenance of Design Standards

What the company are seeking in the successful candidate: -

·University Degree - Mechanical / Automotive Engineering / Product Design

·Training & Experience with CAD Software (CATIA V5 or NX or I-DEAS)

·Experience in automotive industry

·Knowledge of 2D & 3D CAD drawing & modelling standards & methodology, CAE or other simulation techniques, technical drawing standards, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing, mechanical design.

·DFMEA

·Design for six sigma
