• The Material Handler will be part of the Logistics Group who deal with Goods Inwards, Warehousing through to Despatch to Shipping.
• The Material Handler will ensure an effective flow of materials from our suppliers into our Manufacturing area and then onto our Customers.
• All material movements within the department from raw material into finished goods.
• All associated system transactions from Customs clearance to Goods receipt/Storage/issue to Manufacturing / receipt of finished goods and onward shipment to the Customer
• Continuously improve the operation of the department through regular performance reviews with the Logistics Leader.
• Ensure that the department operates in a safe and ethical manner at all times.The ideal candidate will have:
• Good working knowledge of SAP within a Logistics environment including Kanban process and problem solving experience
• Order Picker (WAVE) and Counter Balance Fork truck license preferable
• Trained in packing Hazardous shipments for IATA preferable
• Several years’ experience in a similar position using SAP
• Significant experience of Warehousing in a Lean manufacturing environment.
