Job Elements
• Working Days.
• Perform routine maintenance on machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Conduct mechanical repairs and maintenance, demonstrating strong mechanical knowledge.
• Competent to repair and replace basic tooling using manual toolroom equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems.
• Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to maintenance requests from staff.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections.
• Collaborate with other team members to improve maintenance processes and efficiency.
• Ensure that ‘general’ building/facilities maintenance is carried out.
• Work with sub-contractors to repair, or improve, plant and equipment.
• Support the introduction of new machinery and products.
• Work closely with the technical department to develop new processes or products, as well as undertaking continuous improvement projects.The ideal candidate will have:
• Ideally, this would be someone with strong hands-on experience who is also capable of working with industrial machinery, alongside managing maintenance operations.
• The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in mechanical engineering with basic level of electrical systems, with the ability to troubleshoot and maintain various equipment.
• The role may suit an individual who has experience within manufacturing as a Maintenance Engineer, Maintenance Technician, Mechanical Engineer, Toolmaker or Production Engineer.
