Job Elements- Maintain building services infrastructure to support manufacturing and packaging and office support services to ensure compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements.
- Ensuring the preventative planned and reactive maintenance on facilities equipment to include HVAC systems; cooling and heating systems, duct extraction processes, water services, compressed air and purified water controls, throughout the site is planned, performed and documented whilst ensuring production remains uninterrupted.
- To ensure that all services and utilities service contracts are adhered to and that all plant performs to its maximum efficiency.
- Manage, review and report on facility equipment performance and operations.
- Ensure plant and equipment are maintained to a high standard and upgrade old/ defective equipment in line with current standards
- To have a working knowledge and understanding of HVAC systems; cooling and heating systems (including DX refrigeration), duct extraction processes, water services, compressed air, purified water controls, fire alarm and sprinkler systems, to ensure that the systems are fully operational at all times and ppm’s are carried out and adhered to.
- Manage the planning and delivery of maintenance shutdowns to include cross departmental requirements.
The ideal candidate will have:- Qualified to Degree, or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Building Services.
- Essential to have completed a recognised and certified time served apprenticeship, preferably in within a facilities department
- Proven hands-on facilities related experience gained ideally within a highly regulated manufacturing environment.
- A Thorough understanding of plant utilities equipment, i.e., Purified Water, HVAC, Compressed Air and Life Safety Systems etc.
- Excellent diagnostic skills.
- Good oral, written and presentation skills, be able to use Microsoft office package
