Job Elements
  • Partner with site leaders to continuously improve/support the Quality Plan and QMS for Supplier Quality Management and Incoming Inspection.
  • Support First Article part qualification for NPI and existing products.
  • Utilize supplier Scorecards/metrics (DPPM, OTD, Spend, etc) and analytical tools to quantify performance levels of individual suppliers and work with those suppliers to develop improvement plans to achieve quality performance goals.
  • Lead in Supplier Audit activities (virtual and on-site) such as establish the Supplier Annual Audit Plan, facilitate its execution and communicate the outcome and decision of the audit.
  • Champion problem solving and Root Cause analysis activities with suppliers to eliminate recurrence of non-conformances and drive "Zero Defect" mentality within the supply base.
  • Coordinate Supplier change request/notification, and deviation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive quality improvement activities, reduction of waste, ensure part supply continuity and resolve line down issues due to part quality.
 
The ideal candidate will have:
  • Bachelors Degree in a technical, engineering or science discipline
  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience in Supplier Quality Engineering or Quality Assurance
  • Good knowledge of manufacturing process; plastics, sheet metal, casting, machining, PCBA or sub-assembly
  • Strong understanding of Quality concepts and tools, such as SPC, Root Cause/Corrective Action Investigation, Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Six Sigma
  • Able to understand engineering drawings
  • Familiarity with APQP / PPAP, process tools such as PFMEA /DFMEA, and Control Plans
  • Experience with SAP and Sharepoint systems preferred (others include Minitab and Smartsheets)
  • Continuous Improvement (CI) Project experience will be an advantage
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently.
