Job Elements
  • Accountable for leading a cross-functional project team to successfully introduce new products into the operation by using effective project management cross functional people management and project planning skills.
  • Responsible for communication with the customer in relation to receipt of new product briefs, clarification of brief with reference to formulae, testing requirements, packaging, sampling and timescales.
  • Responsible for communication with the Corporate Sales team in relation to quotation of new products
  • Accountable for the coordination of technical feasibility and manufacturing trials and ensuring any trial reports are generated and corrective actions from the trial are implemented.
  • Responsible for the creation and maintenance of Critical Path Analyses and action plans and ensuring that customers are regularly updated on the progress of projects and any issues, risks and decisions are highlighted, communicated and mitigated in a timely manner.
  • Responsible for obtaining necessary information from customers to enable internal safety assessments to be carried out (packaging specifications, artworks, manufacturing Safety Data Sheets, manufacturing processes).
  • Accountable for ensuring that project reviews take place and corrective actions are completed prior to handover.

  • Degree level education highly desirable
  • Experience of project management in an industrial environment
  • Experience of working in a FMCG, cosmetics, food or pharmaceutical industrial environment.
  • Recognised project management qualification (e.g : Prince 2)
  • Experience in managing external customers
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Fluency in English
  • Financial and commercial awareness.
  • Proficient in use of MRP systems and MS Office
