The successful candidate will steer internal project teams, facilitate cross-functional collaborations and manage external contracts to ensure projects are engineered, procured, constructed, installed and operated to their objectives
Responsibilities: -
Defining the delivery strategy for projects including procurement, construction and installation management plans in compliance with funding and procurement rules as well as regulatory and legislative requirements.
Implementing appropriate project organisational structures for managing individual projects; identifying and managing internal and external resources.
Utilising proven techniques to monitor and control schedule, costs, risks, opportunities and to proactively manage issues, change and lessons learned with project teams throughout the project lifecycle.
Managing external supplier and contractor performance against contracted agreements, including the negotiation of claims and / or variations and / or change orders.
Establishing and managing effective communications with internal and external stakeholders; clearly reporting all aspects of project status to the Senior Management Team.
The ideal candidate will have:
Strong background in project management (5 years minimum) and hold the following minimum qualifications: Engineering degree, honours or equivalent in civil, mechanical, structural, architecture or similar.
Track record in successfully managing the delivery of similar or relatable technical projects.
Track record in the application of project management techniques to achieve successful project outcomes.
Excellent stakeholder management and leadership skills with strong ability to motivate teams and maintain a collaborative working environment.
Pragmatic, open-minded and innovative mindset that enables a thorough understanding of product design, development, risks and opportunities.
Willingness to travel for short or medium term in UK and abroad as required.
Willingness to work flexibly and outside of normal working hours to satisfy the requirements of the role.
Valid UK Driving Licence.
