We are looking for Manufacturing Engineer to join a busy team of multidisciplined engineers providing the manufacturing support to the line, and deliver NPI in line with the projected growth of the site.
You will be assigned a primary group of products and be responsible to understand the products, build and test requirements, process flow and systems.
Work closely with the R&D divisions potentially globally and other key business stakeholders in converting a concept idea design into a cost effective / quality manufacturing output product, you will take engineering stewardship of the products when handed over to operations at the appropriate time.
The role demands an engineer to be creative, analytical, familiar with manufacturing processes.
The candidate must have a pro-active approach and work well within multifunctional project teams providing leadership and direction when required. This entails directing both internally, within the local and extended teams, and externally working with consultants and suppliers.
The products you will be responsible for have a very high level of accuracy and you will need understanding and clear systems approach that use mechanical, electrical, electronic, optical and chemical processes.
Both domestic and international travel will be required on an ad hoc basis for this vacancy.
The ideal candidate will have:
BSc, MSc or equivalent degree in Engineering is mandatory.
Understanding and practice of Six Sigma methodologies
Minimum 5 years’ experience served in an engineering role.
Understanding of and experience in the environments and requirements for both New Product Introduction (NPI) and volume manufacturing of technical assemblies.
Self-motivated, detail-oriented and passion for continuous improvements.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Excellent organizational, data collection and presentation skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, professional environment. Proven problem-solving ability and can demonstrate working knowledge of problem solving methodologies. (5 whys, Fishbone, Cause and effect etc)
