Raw Material Technician

Contract Type: Agency Temp to End 2021

Salary: £11.43/hr

Job Elements: -

• 
       The role will be on a shift pattern (days 6-2, afternoons 2-10) for the foreseeable future which attracts a further 20% shift premium, but the intention is to have the role moved back to a regular day pattern (8-4) when it is safe to do so.


• 
       Execution of routine quality control tests and release of raw materials.


• 
       Operate, calibrate and perform routine manual operations for testing equipment (including support for equipment validation / qualification).


• 
       Be accountable for specifically identified equipment, ensure maintenance, calibration and acceptance testing is completed to agreed schedule.


• 
       Participation in, identification and support of quality and process improvement initiatives.


• 
       Participation in the set-up of new testing procedures and processes.


• 
       Maintenance of appropriate stock control levels, 5S, HSE & quality / compliance standards within the designated area

The ideal candidate will have:

• 
      Must be educated to a minimum of ‘A’ Level in Chemistry & Biology or equivalent or relevant experience


• 
      Some lab experience is essential, preferably with appropriate materials.


• 
      Basic knowledge of lean manufacturing principles / methodologies


• 
      Working knowledge of Calibration techniques


• 
      Experience of operating basic & in some cases more technical laboratory equipment


• 
      Knowledge of the COSHH process
