The Project Manager is responsible for the smooth introduction of multiple new products from successful initiation and execution through to closure of the project. The role is customer facing with a main objective of making the company a company that is “easy to do business with”.
The Project Manager leads a cross-functional project team and is accountable for all aspects of the industrialisation of new products in the factory (on time, on cost, on quality) and providing regular project status reports to the Head of New Product Development and the customer.
Functions/Responsibilities: -
Receipt of customer new product briefs.
Creation of specifications.
Clarification of brief with customers with reference to formulae, testing requirements, packaging, sampling and timescales.
Coordination of raw material and component supply.
Creation and maintenance of Critical Path Analyses.
Ensure customers are regularly updated on the progress of projects and highlight issues in a timely manner.
Obtain necessary information from customers to enable internal safety assessments to be carried out (packaging specifications, artworks, Manufacturing Safety Data Sheets, manufacturing processes).
Data input into in-house ERP system for creation of product BOMs and material costs.
Coordination of technical feasibility and manufacturing trials.

Degree calibre.
Experience of liaising in-house and externally with people at all levels.
Proven successful project management experience.
A recognised Project Management qualification.
Knowledge of MRP systems.
Experience of working in a food, FMCG, cosmetics or pharmaceutical environment.
Proficient in use of Microsoft Office software.
