Job Elements
To develop, maintain and improve the Quality System ensuring that product supplied to customers is of the highest possible standard.
The Quality Assurance Manager should lead in promoting the use of best-practice quality system tools and techniques, ensuring they are applied in a way that benefits the Site’s performance in the areas of Quality, Cost and Delivery.
Maintenance and implementation of the Quality System ensuring it is under continuous scrutiny for productivity and quality improvements.
To work with the relevant departments on the validation and revalidation of equipment critical to quality.
To manage and maintain the Non-conformance, customer complaint and deviation systems
Act as a technical support in investigations related to quality problems
To manage the CAPA register ensuring the close out of actions.
Participates, creates or supports continuous improvement initiatives
To review and create Quality risk assessments
Co-ordinate the site change control process.
Co-ordinate the site internal audits in line with the annual plan.
What the company is looking for in the successful candidate:
Proficient in use of Microsoft Office software
Education to a minimum of A-level standard or equivalent. Must include good standard of written English & mathematics
Experience in lean manufacturing / continuous improvement techniques & tools (5s, Kaisen, etc.)
Quality Data analysis tools
Quality Assurance background
Quality / Auditing experience in a ‘lean culture’ manufacturing environment
Broad knowledge of production packaging & processing
Awareness of modern technology
Good communication skills & attitude
Experience of working in a chemical, microbiological, biological or pharmaceutical laboratory.
