Main purpose of role:
Ensure production schedules are maintained and achieved via prompt issue of materials to production (the department’s internal customer). To maintain accurate inventory management and stock reconciliation across all commodities.
Main Responsibilities
Plan, organise and co-ordinate staff within the Warehouse and Goods In departments
Assess all processes within the departments ensuring suitability
Continually aim to achieve and improve targets
Maintain accurate stock levels
Ensure prompt issue of materials to production area
Ensure production schedules are achieved
Ensure all quality systems and procedures are maintained and adhered to
Maintain control of overtime levels
Carry out any reasonable task as directed
Develop clear and concise reporting metrics
Undertake Line Management responsibility to ensure formal performance planning reviews are conducted when applicable
Ensure that all company operating values and compliance procedures are adhered to at all times, including quality management, health and safety, legal stipulation, environmental policies and general duty of care.
Required Attributes
Experience within a similar role within a fast moving manufacturing environment
High level of MRP experience
Diligent, thorough, rigorous and takes personal responsibility to ensure deadlines are managed whilst maintaining a high level of quality and service
Exceptional level of attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to challenge existing practices and develop innovative methods to exceed KPIs
Ability to motivate and develop others
Proven project management and implementation experience
Experience of managing a large multifunctional team
